A law remains, when you have to face a situation in life, even if 1000 people are there with you, even if everything has already been taught to you, even if, you feel that ‘Always connected to You’, whatever be… the truth of life is, in every moment of life, you are alone, all of you, you are alone. This does not change at all.
The truth is you were alone in the womb, even if you were twins, your attachment to your mother was separate from your brother or sister’s attachment even in the womb, you are alone; you will have to fight that passage, mother is putting pressure, doctor is trying to apply that whole thing, suction is being used. But still, you will have to go through that journey of a birth trauma alone.
When you have to try and crawl to figure out how to move or when you turn on your tummy to come back on your back and crying for help, you are alone.
When you’re in pain, Volini… Relispray… Amrutanjan spray… Mov… or some of you can make a mixture of… Which one would work… So, apply all… But that pain you have to endure; you have to do it alone.
Right now, not only in teaching all of you I am alone; in how you are understanding my teaching you are alone. You can sit with your wife, you can sit with your brother, you can sit with your father, you can sit here, but… you are alone in your perceptions.
Even if Krishna be with you, arrow by arrow, the next arrow that you will have to fire, you are alone in your skill, you will have to get that next arrow right. You are alone. Not praying to Krishna; Krishna is with you, but you are alone.
That moment when tears are forming inside you, and they are beginning to trickle down… One moment later, 1000 people can come to wipe your tears. But in that moment when you’re crying, you are alone. When a joke is cracked, and in that moment, when you understand the joke and you laugh, or you don’t understand the joke and wonder why others are laughing in both those moments you are alone.
You have taken your boss along with you for a sales negotiation. And you know your boss will assist you in the negotiation. And yet in that moment, what you communicate or your desperation to get what you want. In that moment, you are alone.
End of infinipath, I can stand, you can stand, both of us can be lost in an embrace. From the world outside it looks like it’s a communion of two bodies and two energies, I can be hugging – a part of me even when it’s hugging you, is alone. A part of you even when it’s hugging me tight, is alone.
Existential aloneness is the truth of life.
In everything, no matter how many people you’re surrounded with, what your support system is, what your understanding is, what your maturity is, in that moment, when you have to execute a choice. You can have the best of the families, the best of the friends, you can be part of the best of the gangs, everything, all of us, not just in meditation. In everything that you do…
The best of the yoga teacher can be there. And the best of the yoga teacher is teaching you how to do a dog pose. And in doing your dog pose and how you understand your body and how your body is responding in that moment, where it’s aching, where it’s extending, where it’s paining, where it’s holding, and in puffing your breath – you are alone.
A part of you is always alone…
And till you find peace in that aloneness.
Nothing in life will make you peaceful.
You can keep doing, you can keep exploring, you can keep experimenting.
One of the greatest spiritual truths to understand in life is, no matter what I do, a part of me is always alone. And I have to find peace in that existential aloneness. Those who have found peace in that existential aloneness, with anybody and everybody, they are happy. And those who have not yet found peace in that existential aloneness, with anybody and everybody they’re still miserable.
Otherwise, how do you explain celebrities going through depression?
What is that they don’t have money, power, fame, position, anything of their choice… Celebrities! At their call an entire world will be at their feet they all go through depression, why? They have not found peace in that existential aloneness.
There is existential aloneness in all of us. I don’t know how else to explain, I can hold you very tight and a part of me is still alone. In your insecurity, you’re alone; in your courage also, you’re alone.
When you feel nervous, you go up the stage to speak. And everybody is encouraging you. It’s a very, very encouraging crowd and telling you ‘It’s okay, speak… it’s okay’.
And there are people standing on the stage, like a school day function when the children come to sing and the teacher is on the background saying that ‘1,2 3 4 start!’ ‘Start!’ Alone! Teacher also alone, child also alone, right now.
In your courage, also, you’re alone ‘Whatever happens, let’s face it!’
When you go to confront anything in life, not because there is an army behind you, even if there is an army behind you, for you to brave from the forefront, you are alone.
And to the extent people have made peace with that existential aloneness, in any situation they find peace. So when they talk about spiritual growth, it’s not about putting Vibuthi; it’s not about putting Namam, it’s not about Santhanam… It’s not about wearing, what, ring for emotional balance…
If wearing a ring will create the emotional balance… Everyone can get emotional balance, can’t they?
If… How much is it? 10 rupees or 12 rupees? If 20 rupees, you can achieve emotional balance, then why am I teaching in infinipath for 25 years now?
I might as well sell this ring to all of you, wear this and you will get emotional balance! By giving 20 rupees to somebody, you take care of their emotional balance. Your emotional balance… all that will not change! Nothing changes, unless you change.
You have to find peace in that emotional aloneness!
